Their efforts add value to production, research, innovation and technology transfer, enhance the quality, safety and variety of food, ensure environmental integrity and responsibility, and enrich the well-being of rural communities. Some recent examples:

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) is providing $2.4 million to fund development projects led by OAC researchers that will promote agribusiness in Ghana, improve water quality in Morocco and set up agricultural training programs in Chad.
An online resource linking maize researchers around the world, developed by researchers in OAC, was the first in a planned series of international research databases on the world's most important agricultural crops.
