OAC Public Lecture - September 23

The Fall 2008 session of OAC’s public lecture series continues on Tuesday, September 23rd with this year's Agrologist in Residence public lecture. The annual residency program is designed to promote the profession of agrology, and is presented by OAC's Student Federation (SFOAC) in conjunction with the Ontario Institute of Agrologists. 

Members of the University community and the general public are invited to attend a public lecture by the 2008 Agrologists-in-Residence:  Ove Hansen, P.Ag. and Igor Dimkoski, P.Ag. The speakers will share the insights they’ve gained through their experience in primary agriculture, specifically the dairy industry, as well as the food processing industry in Canada and abroad.

This event is open to the public: there is no charge for admission. OVC Lifetime Learning Centre is located just off Gordon Street between College Avenue and Stone Road: access via McGilvary Road.

The OAC Public Lecture Series features distinguished speakers on topical issues related to agriculture, food, the environment and rural communities in Canada and around the world. The series promotes better understanding of the challenges and opportunities of rapid change and global connectivity.
